Nova Data Testing is a full service nondestructive testing company ready to provide our customers with the necessary experience to complete any inspection job. We utilize Ultrasonics, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant and Visual inspection techniques to test a variety of materials and equipment.
Our inspections include above ground storage tanks and all the associated piping. These tanks usually contain different types of fuel, a variety of chemicals or at times just plain water. We have inspectors certified to the American Petroleum Institute API 653 above ground storage tank inspection program. We also inspect jet fuel storage tanks for the U.S. military.
We conduct inspections on all power generation equipment to include chemical recovery boilers, waste to energy power boilers, coal fired units, combination type boilers and all steam piping and pressure vessels like deaerators and condensate tanks. Associated equipment such as turbines, induction draft and forced draft fans are also tested.
Nova Data inspects pulp and paper mill equipment and systems to include digesters, paper machine dryers, crane hooks and reel spools, lime kilns, evaporators, storage tanks, chippers, pressure vessels and boilers and turbines.
Our company has a procedure to inspect fork lift trucks based on the recommendations of the manufacturers.
Nova Data Testing also inspects many chemical plants to include all the process piping systems in the plant as well as the pressure vessels that are utilized in production. Our inspectors are qualified through the American Petroleum Institute to conduct piping inspections (API 570) and through the same organization to inspect pressure vessels (API 510)
Welding inspections and welder qualifications are another important aspect of our testing services. Nova Data Testing has a Certified Welding Inspector through the America Welding Society on staff to help companies with the testing and qualification of their welders. Nova Data inspectors also conduct weld inspections using the shear wave technique for testing the quality of welds. This test requires less time and is safer than radiography. More information can be found on this method under the Shearwave Weld Inspection tab on this site.
