- In what ways can Nova Data Testing Services help us to reduce our liability and equipment failures?
Our services provide accurate and easy to use information to predict equipment life cycle and repair schedules as well as reducing downtime and increasing safety conditions. However, understanding needs and executing the inspection requires more than just good intentions. In order to better serve our customers Nova Data Testing has developed a detailed plan of action to be followed every time our crews are sent on an inspection assignment.
PROJECT TIMELINE:
Once a job has been awarded and a purchase order has been sent to us by the client, Nova Data will:
- Immediately send a confirmation letter to the customer via email that includes:
a. Thanking them for the purchase order, referencing the number for integrity
b. Nova Data Testing internal control number that will be used on all documentation
c. Name and phone number of field representative(s)
d. Anticipated preparation conditions prior to job and/or any requirements
e. Inquiry about safety and production meetings associated with the job
f. Scheduled start date and time of the work
g. Scheduled completion date and time, and what the customer will receive from the field representative(s) upon job completion
h. Scheduled final report date and how it will become available to the customer
i. Inquire about any additional assistance the customer may need during our visit
- Four weeks prior to job – Nova Data will send a confirmation email to remind the client of the job and ask if any changes have occurred
- Two weeks prior to job, call the client to:
a. Remind them of the job and ask if any changes have occurred
b. Ask them to call if any issues are presented before the scheduled start date
c. Ask for additional work or other ways our company can assist them
JOB PREPARATION:
To ensure that the job goes as scheduled, the following must be completed:
- Purchase order number from client to be referenced on all paperwork
- Insure that the scope of work agreed upon in purchase order is accurate
- Job equipment list is followed to ensure all equipment is taken to the job
- Establish that all equipment is calibrated and functioning properly
- Client contact information is verified
- Nova Data Testing procedures for the applicable discipline(s) to be performed are included
- Material safety data sheets for any applicable substances are detailed
- Job Hazard Analysis sheets are included in job package
- Previous report or equipment reference drawing if available
- Field sketch pads for equipment drawings and data collection
- Charge sheets should be prepared with known information
JOB COMPLETION:
Upon completion of a job, the following must be performed:
Complete a detailed reference field sketch of the equipment and acquired data. Include all information in the supplied fields including equipment numbers, date, inspector, control number
- Discuss findings and recommendations and make sure the client:
a. Understands the condition of their equipment
b. Is satisfied with the inspection
c. Signs and receives a copy of the field sketch
- Consult the client about any additional work that we may be able to perform
- Complete charge sheet(s), acquire customer signature, and leave a copy with the customer
